The Phoenix Valley may be leaving the "Buyer's Market" status with only 34,333 Active Residential listings as of May 31, 2009, and with an estimated 5.6 months of Inventory in the South East Valley. Sales Prices are UP!  Some believe we bottomed out on prices in April, 2009.  The average price of the homes sold for all the Valley MLS in the 30 days through June 21 increased to $180,818 as inventory decreased. 

Also on the positive side, between July 2007 and July 2008, Phoenix was the 2nd fastest growing city in the U.S., growing to 1.567 Million, 2nd only to New York Cily.

The Phoenix Metropolitan Area lies within the 9200 square miles of Maricopa County with a population of over 4 million .  Recent estimates are that the population will double in the next 20 years - future property values?
